At Virgo Music Productions, I provide versatile music education tailored to the student’s environment—whether that is in a school setting or the comfort of their own home. With a focus on Guitar, Bass, Drums, and Music Production, my goal is to provide high-quality, practical instruction that fits your schedule.Lessons follow the RSL Rockschool syllabus, a modern path for aspiring musicians. I facilitate all grading levels, providing expert preparation for exams from Debut through to Grade 8.Peripatetic School Teaching:
I currently provide peripatetic (Perry) teaching for schools throughout the Cambridge area. I work closely with school music departments to deliver lessons that complement the curriculum while giving students a professional edge.• Convenient: Lessons take place during the school day.

• Experienced: Four years of experience navigating the specific needs of Cambridge school environments.Private Home Tuition:
For those who prefer a more personalised environment or are looking for lessons outside of school hours, I offer private home visits. I bring my 35 years of industry experience directly to your door, providing a focused and comfortable learning atmosphere.Local Coverage:

Every student learns at a different pace, and schedules vary. I offer flexible lesson lengths to suit different ages, levels, and goals:
20 Minutes: Ideal for younger beginners or a focused weekly "check-in."
30 Minutes: The standard session for most developing students.
45 Minutes: Great for intermediate players or those diving into music theory.
60 Minutes:Recommended for advanced students and Music Production sessions where we need more time to dive into software and mixing.Disciplines Offered:

Fees
Transparency is key to a successful partnership between tutor, student, and parent. My rates reflect 35 years of professional industry expertise and specialised instruction in Guitar, Bass, Drums, and Music Production.Lesson Rates:
Whether for school-based peripatetic teaching or private tuition, the following rates apply:• 20-Minute Lesson: £15.00
• 30-Minute Lesson: £22.50
• 45-Minute Lesson: £34.00
• 60-Minute Lesson: £45.00Private lessons are subject to a £5 travel contribution depending on your location.
Terms & Conditions
Advance Billing:
All instrumental music tuition is billed on a fixed, full-termly basis.Payment Deadline:
Payment for the upcoming term must be received in full prior to the first day of term to confirm and hold the student’s allocated slot on the teaching timetable.Slot Reallocation:
Timetable slots are strictly reserved upon receipt of cleared funds. Failure to pay prior to the start of term may result in the slot being offered to students on the waiting list.Student Absences & Missed Lessons:Fixed Timetable Reservation:
Termly fees reserve a specific, dedicated time slot on the timetable and guarantee teacher availability for that exact duration each week.Non-Refundable Policy:
Tuition fees are fixed for the term. No refunds, fee deductions, credits, or make-up lessons are provided for individual missed lessons due to student absence.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Student illness or medical appointments
Family holidays or personal commitments
School trips, residential excursions, exams, or school closuresSchool Events & Timetable Swaps:
Where school trips or exam timetable clashes are known well in advance, every reasonable effort will be made to swap the student’s lesson time within the same week, subject to timetable capacity. However, swaps cannot be guaranteed and do not qualify for a fee adjustment if unavailable.Teacher Absences & Cancellations:
Guaranteed Delivery: If a lesson is cancelled due to teacher unavailability, a replacement lesson will be scheduled, or a credit for the missed session will be applied to the following term’s invoice.Discontinuation of Lessons:
Notice Period: If a student wishes to stop tuition, written notice must be provided prior to the start of the final term.
 Mid-Term Withdrawals: Refunds are not provided for mid-term withdrawals, and tuition covers the remainder of the active term once commenced.
